HAKUHODO UNIV.

The primary asset of an advertising agency is its people. Knowing this, Hakuhodo strives to help our employees reach their full potential. On April 1, 2005, we took our boldest step yet in this direction with the establishment of Hakuhodo Univ., a corporate training and idea generation facility that breathes life into Hakuhodo creativity.

Hakuhodo Univ. is not only a facility for teaching about Hakuhodo's distinctive culture and methods. It's also a place where all employees can challenge themselves, bring new ideas to life and have those ideas pitted against others and critiqued by peers.

Hakuhodo Univ. allows creativity to flourish in three ways:

  • Discovery: identifying signs of change by taking open-minded, outside-the-box perspectives
  • Co-creation: the freedom of individuals from different backgrounds and disciplines to work together as equals, and pit ideas and insights garnered from sei-katsu-sha observation against one another in an effort to create stronger ideas
  • Design: actually putting together ideas that can spark big movements in culture and society

Hakuhodo is renowned for its creative strength. To maintain this edge, we built Hakuhodo Univ., a unique place for the incubation of creativity, where people can discover their true potential and put their creativity to the test.
