Compliance System

Hakuhodo and all other companies under the umbrella of our holding company, Hakuhodo DY Holdings Inc., conduct business with integrity, lawfully and appropriately in accordance with the Hakuhodo DY Group Code of Conduct and Matters for Compliance.

The establishment of corporate compliance systems is overseen by the Compliance Committee, which comprises corporate officers in charge of compliance promotion and is headed by the president of Hakuhodo. This committee handles the establishment of compliance infrastructure for the entire company as well as individual units.

Underneath the Compliance Committee are the Business Transaction Risk Management, Information Security and Crisis Management Committees, which are made up of corporate officers in charge of compliance promotion and other personnel.

A Whistle blowing Desk, which is open to the corporate officers and employees of all group companies, has been set up within the Compliance Committee Secretariat to quickly detect any misconduct and to protect whistleblowers.

Counseling on sexual harassment and power harassment is offered through a telephone counseling service (staffed by external counselors) and an internal Sexual Harassment Counseling Office.
